At Lone Tree Community Church we believe being a part of a Branch Group can be one of the most meaningful and positive experiences in one’s life. A life committed to the way of Jesus is not easy. Being a part of a small community of people committed to the same journey can often make all the difference.

What is a branch group? This is a bit like asking ‘What is a family?’ There are no two that are exactly alike. Groups are comprised of people just like yourself, co-workers, friends, relatives, and neighbors The essence of what makes a gathering of people a “branch group” is their shared vision and commitment to living life together. A Branch Group is a place for people to know and be known, to love and be loved. It is not a collection of perfect people who have life all figured out. A branch group is for those of us who still need to grow, who need a place to ask questions, and who need others to help us when we mess things up.

A branch group is a place to learn together what it means to follow Christ. It’s a place to study the Scriptures together, to explore together what it means to love our neighbors and care for the oppressed. A branch group is a group of people that work together on figuring out what it means to carry each other’s burdens, confess sins to one another, and perhaps even share possessions. It’s a place to eat, play and rest; it’s a place to live out the way of Jesus.

If you are considering being a part, here are some questions to ask yourself…

• Do I desire to be more intimately involved in the lives of more people at Lone Tree Community Church?
• Am I willing to make time in my schedule to attend regular gatherings?
• Am I ready to commit to journeying with a group of people toward greater health, wholeness, and righteousness?
• Am I ready to discover with a group of people what mission God may be calling us to?

If you answered yes to all of these questions then you may be a great candidate to join a Branch Group
