Compulsion Lifted
When I was young, I displayed some characteristics which are now commonly associated with Asperger Syndrome, a mild form of autism. Throughout my childhood and teen years, I was in bondage to an obsessive compulsive disorder of rocking back and forth every night in bed, often for many hours, until I was finally able to fall asleep. In 1985, when I was twenty-one, I came to Christ. Shortly thereafter, as I was just about to begin this nightly ritual yet again, a voice distinctly spoke to my heart and said, “Son, you don’t have to do that anymore.” I was immediately delivered and have been free of that compulsion ever since.
